We are going through very tough times today, but I am blessed:
Thank you Lord, for autism, because it’s taught me feed my children right, to seek the truth, and to have patience.
Thank you Lord, for Down syndrome, because it’s taught me to be less judgmental, to appreciate things that are different and to slow down.
Thank you Lord, for our health issues, because it’s taught me about medicine, biology, and what is true health care.
Thank you Lord, for the break up of our church last year, because it brought me much closer to You than I ever thought possible, and how to truly follow Your will.
Thank you Lord, for financial adversity and the shakiness of this world, because it’s taught me to release the illusion that anything is in my control.
And not forgetting, Lord, thank you for all the good: my family, a good husband, beautiful, happy children, Zoe and Amelia improving daily, our home, our church, our school, dear friends, outstanding teachers, my work, my blog, my readers, my colleagues, the nice bonus opp I got this week, daily provision, our car, our cat, all the abundance in our lives, and your sacrifice and my salvation.
All things are in Your control, and I thank you for that.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28
If you are struggling today to find anything to be grateful for, I invite you to read James 1:1-5. Not an easy read, but comforting for believers. And I will pray for you, that you find peace and rest in this day and courage, strength, and joy for tomorrow.
Love you all my readers. Happy Thanksgiving!
