How I Embrace Imperfect

Filed Under: embracing imperfect, featured, just for mom

Back in March, I relaunched this long time blog under the  name “embracing imperfect” and today I wanted to share with some things about that. I’ve gone from struggling to thriving and then on through to managing, because let’s face, struggles come and go. As the mom of two beautiful girls who both have very different special needs, over the years, I’ve used lots of strategies to help them thrive. Detoxing children isn’t easy, and it involves a back and forth motion too. The kids take 3 steps forward, only to sometimes takes 5 steps back again in something else.

That’s why for me, embracing the imperfections in my life was critical – imperfect me, imperfect husband, imperfect kids, imperfects pets. It is the reality of our world, after all. “Perfect” is not attainable while we live; it’s a special gift that God saves for His children once they leave the constrains of this life.

And here is my very awesome and VERY imperfect family:

She is the SPITTING image of me, except I don't wear so much make up ;)

This one will NEVER stop moving or sticking her tongue out on photos, but she can really rock hats!

Apparently I ONLY take good photographs WHEN I'M EATING.
