Gratitude List, 10/13/12

This was not an easy week, but it was something I muddle through, held on to my faith, and thanked God for what I did have.  I’m happy to say that some things got resolved, but for the rest, we shall see.

Meanwhile, there’s good news to share, so here is my Gratitude List for the week:

1. Learning that I touch and help at least one person with my blogging.  Just one is all I need!

2. First project for my new gig going very well, and earned a compliment.

3. My oldest Firecracker*, Amelia, is doing so great.  Had one of her best days ever.  So far, only one – ONE I SAY – aggression event happened this year, and that one she cut and then apologized for.  At school.  With no mama to prompt her.  She’s doing her homework and is just great.

4.  My little Firecracker, Zoe, had a great day – best one all year.  She’s sleeping again – mostly, not completely there yet.  And, of her own accord, has started saying 2-3 word sentences!  Subject, noun!  A few times at least.  I requested homework, and she buzzed through it happily.  And she helped Amelia with her sight words.  Thanks be to God, I’m doing something right!

5. Things took a turn for the Scary Road at Chris’ job, but although it’s not yet resolved, there are enough options on the table that he can now go back to sleeping at night.

6.  Fall is here!!  I love the fall, and the crisp weather is just fine by me.  Yay!

7. Visiting friends this weekend, and confirmation of how…good? blessed? tight? I feel with my friends from around here.  Good stuff.

As you can see, this is also an update, and life is good, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t get SUPER HAIRY at times.  There are still things I weep over that I don’t know how they’ll be fixed.  But I’m trusting God, that even if pain prevails, it will work out.

Peace out & have a great weekend.

*Heard Katy Perry’s “Firework” this morning and could NOT stop thinking about my girls. That song is for them, because they will do amazing things with their lives.
