Well, today Amelia turned 4. Yippee!! She had school and
Chris had off because we had new home business to attend to, so all we
did was take her to Red Robin for dinner. (And last night for
Steak and “happy birthday” song at Garfield’s.)
They sang happy birthday at RR, gave her an ENORMOUS DELICIOUS ice
cream concoction for free, and a balloon for each of my girls. In
the car while playing with balloons, much hysteria ensued. It was
Then we came home, all laid in our king sized bed, and watched
“Small Soldiers”. Amelia was happy. (And she has MORE than
enough toys – and still more on the way…we’re not opening the last 5
or so til we get to our new home.) Really, what more do you need?
The laughter of children and a good night’s sleep. I could live on that
I’m dog-tired, but so happy. My tiny One is growing up so much
it brings tears to my eyes. She never squealed as a baby, and Zoe
does all the time, so Amelia now runs around imitating the
squeal. It’s ADORABLE. She’s improving SO much – knows how
to sing her alphabet, gets caught counting appropriately, is starting
to do 3-4 word sentences, knows the letters and all their sounds, is
learning to obey, and has stopped cursing (although still gets
frustrated, but now deep breaths to calm down on prompts). She is
SO beautiful. I do love my little Amelia with all my heart.
(Her sis too, but it’s HER birthday!)
Oh, I’d show you photos, but I left my camera and 4 months of photos
*SOMEWHERE* in my cousin’s house in Staten Island…oh well.
It’s been a wild week, more details later, I’m off to bed.
