So much going on, so little time to blog! Here are a few highlights from our house:
Zoe is speaking more and more, and speaking clearly! For months she’s been saying “WEEEseee!” in sing song. Yesterday, I realized she was “Who IS it?” (The way they say it on Jack’s Big Music Show. That’s how much clearer her words have gotten. And she’s chattering a lot. She has not made any progress, though on social interaction and transitions, according to her teacher’s report, so we requested a new IEP for the upcoming school year. Wish us luck.
She’s doing well otherwise, but tantrums are on the rise, because I’m tired of, well, doing EVERYTHING around here. I’m working very hard to set boundaries for them and stick to it. It means that afternoons between work and Chris’ arrival can be ugly, but so be it…
Amelia, I’m happy to report, is, with great difficulty, bribery, threatening and battle, sitting on the potty nightly and peeing sometimes. I could have said “nightly” if only she’d have peed last night. But I’ll take what I can get. Pray for us in this endeavor. I can’t stand changing diapers anymore on a girl fast approaching 7.
She is nearly ready for school, as well. I’m so excited about the new school. She may need a TSS but I asked about that today, and we will see after the school year starts. This is awesome.
That’s it for now. Posting soon about church, I think. Staying out of health care argument. Starting resource site for special needs parents, too. If you’re interested in this kind of resource, email how I can help: ginabad (at) gmail (dot) com.
OK back to work!
