Homeopathy and Autism, Round 3

So I thought I would pop in quick for an update about our struggles treating our child who is on the autism spectrum. Since she hit puberty about 2.5 years ago, we’ve struggled with regressions and physical issues, on top of what we’d already been having problems with. Predominantly, she has been suffering with terrible gut health issues common in autism.

To date, we had tried NUMEROUS solutions, including:

  • an intuitive online homeopath
  • Nemechek protocol
  • Karen Thomas’ protocol, although I didn’t feel right and didn’t actually do it
  • another biomed doctor, since my original guy went out of business
  • diet, as usual
  • CBD oil
  • Bioray products (who, by the way, have a FANTASTIC customer support)

And were still considering candida/parasite cleanse, more extreme autism diets such as GAPS, nutrition practitioners, and more doctors.

Sigh.

I’d been thinking and praying and searching and researching and taking notes and bookmarking practitioners and asking questions and seeking prayer and fasting, and oh, well, you name it!

The worse her gut is, the worse her behavior is, the less she can do, and it’s just poor quality of life all around for my precious child.

In fact, the only thing that worked a little was Advanced TRS, a detox treatment derived from zeolite. We stopped using that because Dr. Anja Usman advised clean the gut BEFORE doing detox. (Sounds about right to us.) So I did that, and later found out that this product is synthetic. So I never went back but I recently found out there is a natural, heavily-tested zeolite product that is cheaper. At this time, we were working with the Bioray products.

So I googled that natural zeolite and a doctor came up, who used that as well as Bioray on an autism patient. I researched his site – and lo and behold, while he took online patients, he was within driving distance.

AND OPEN ON SATURDAYS!!

SO I first had to save up the money for this visit. In the meanwhile, I prepped, discussed with Chris, prayed about it, scheduled the day, and in late August, we set out. We had to skip a weekend of playing Miracle League baseball, which the kids love, and took off for the morning. Chris and Amelia toured the quaint college town while I sat with the doctor – who was a homeopath. I talked about every single symptom, our medical histories, my pregnancy with Zoe, and everything we’d been through these last 2 years, including stress.

How happy was I to see this magazine in my new practitioner’s office??

He pretty much said that autism is medical (yes!!!), and the science that backed it. He that her body had been recovering but the physical processes of puberty did not sitting well with her brain’s chemistry, and that’s where we’ve been these last 2 years.

I am happy that we are back to homeopathy and in the hands of a trustworthy, experienced person who is not afraid to consult books in front of me. (All the best healthcare practitioners do!)

Here I am a few weeks later, THRILLED to note that there has been some significant progress! We are only at the beginning of our journey but I’m pretty excited to get to a place of healing already.

I have so much hope for the weeks ahead and let me tell you, that has been LONG forgotten. Despair is pretty easy on this journey, especially with 2 years of failure to ease my child’s symptoms.

If you are going to be using zeolite for detox, It is recommended you use a natural clinoptilolite zeolite. We really enjoyed the article and the light you brought to this!

    Thanks

    Gina,
I am glad you found help from Homeopathy. This alternative med does help (contrary to popular beliefs). The best part with this medicinal procedure is its focus on the whole patient rather than just the disease or the symptom.
It’s been two months since you posted this meeting. Can you update how is beautiful girl now?

Welcome!
