Recently, I was invited to become part of Glutino’s Very Important Gluten-Free Blogging Community, and learned how delicious these snacks are for company, parties, and gatherings. I received these Glutino products for review:
- Rosemary & Olive Oil Crackers
I broke these open when I had some friends visiting, and they were a hit-we made it through 90% of the box the first night! Tasty all by themselves, my only regret is that I didn’t have some top flight cheese to go with it like brie – that mild cheese would be a perfect complement to these flavorful crackers. These were an ideal snack, especially if you have late night visitors, and they go lovely with a good glass of wine.
- Lemon Wafers
I’m not a big fan of lemon, so I brought these to my Monday night Bible study and everybody ate them up, especially the guys! Even without being a big fan of lemon, these are tasty and sweet, very lemony, and got rave reviews. They also had a nice crunch, no crumbling apart in your napkins or anything
- Apple Cinnamon and Strawberry Toaster Pastries
I thought we were going to serve these up for my guests for breakfast, but since we ate out it never happened – but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy them, especially the Apple Cinnamon. If you have these lying around and you’re craving a restaurant-like desert, simply toast them up and throw on some coconut iced milk and you won’t believe how delicious they are! For the strawberry, I broke off a section of an organic dark chocolate bar and put it under my hot toaster pastry, and YUM! Chocolate coated strawberry pastry. I have to advise it.
Things to Know About Glutino
This line is related to Udi’s, but they are not free of other allergens although they are gluten-free. (Important to note, since my husband always confuses gluten- and dairy-free!) They are more like mainstream products, only without the glutens, so for people slowly transitioning to clean living, they may be a good start because they certainly prove that you can be gluten-free and taste good.
Glutino and GMO’s
Because this issue is important to me, I asked about Glutino’s position on GMOs. Here is the response I received:
Glutino is a strong advocate of the non-GMO movement, supporting Proposition 37 in California and the Non-GMO Labeling Act in Washington. We’re committed to making as many of our products as possible Non-GMO certified, and we’re proud to say that the list keeps growing. To date, we have 12 products that are verified via the Non-GMO Project with more to come!
Here is a list of products currently verified by the Non-GMO Project:
- Apple Breakfast Bars
- Blueberry Breakfast Bars
- Cherry Breakfast Bars
- Strawberry Breakfast Bars
- Gluten Free Pantry All Purpose Flour

They’re not there yet with all their products, but I do hope they continue on this path and add more to this list in the future.
