Welcome, April, spring weather, and the new design of Mom-Blog! I hope you like it. I’ll be refining and rolling out another phase or two in a month or so, I hope you enjoy! Please let me know what you’d like to see or not see. I’m going to somewhat reposition my blog to support families on allergen-free diets or living nontoxic lives, but I will always support parents of kids with disabilities. I’m going to roll out care and support for moms of children with special needs a little later in the year.
I’m back on Mamavation Mondays, and I’m also changing up my eating habits. I’m working on a campaign where I am on a controversial diet. Ok, well it’s not controversial for the reasons you think, it’s yet another clean eating solution (I checked the food first), and it’s run on a tight schedule, which really scares me. It’s more of a detox too, so as of today I’m off coffee and all alcohol for 28 days. And while I may miss my glass of wine, that’s nothing compared to my coffee habit. I’m jonesing big time! But yes, I realize it’s an addiction and stopping it in the name of cleaning my liver is a good thing.
But I have every intention of enjoying a lovely cup of joe 4 weeks from today. Hm, maybe should put that in my calendar? Anyway, my weight currently is 124.4 lbs. It seems I lost some poundage all that time I was sick and not wanting to eat, but I still have the flabby center, and I know I’m nutrition deprived, so smoothies are back on the menu for me! The diet has lots and lots of fruits and veggies and limited meats.
OH, and in case you missed it, I was on Autism Radio this weekend:
Show#160 Interview with a Warrior Mom Gina Badalaty Owner of Mom-Blog.com
And featured on 5 Minutes for Mom last week:
Busting the 6 Most Common Myths About Autism
Exciting stuff but only here because I sympathized with this philosophy:
Look at a problem as an opportunity
Check it out, great article and linky!
